The 4-H Thriving Model and 4-H Youth Program Quality Principles
Video Training- A video overview of the 4-H Thriving Model (23 min.) by the Oregon 4-H Youth Thriving Team Members. This presentation shows how the 4-H Thriving Model's elements of Sparks, Program Quality Principles, Developmental Relationships, and Youth Engagement together set the stage for youth to grow, learn and thrive.

Youth Program Quality Principles for In 4-H Clubs. This e-learning module will introduce 4-H volunteers and staff to how they can intentionally plan to include the principles of quality youth programs in all aspects of 4-H Club programs.

Shooting Sports Statewide Leader Trainings
To lead a Shooting Sports club, adults must complete the Master 4-H Shooting Sports Leader Training for the chosen discipline(s). The Master 4-H Shooting Sports Leader Training provides leaders with information on:
- Age appropriate equipment and activities
- Risk management
- Equipment storage requirements
- Teaching skills for classroom and range
All equipment and materials for the workshop are provided. Safety is a primary concern.
Tractor Safety Instructor Training
Each year several youth are not able to get the tractor safety education, training, and certification needed to work on Oregon farms and ranches. This is due to a lack of Community Lead Instructors. If you are over 21 years of age, interested in volunteering with the OSU Extension Service, and willing to invest in 12 hours of training, you can help provide the needed training in your communities. Please contact Andrea Leao to obtain more information about becoming an NSTMOP Community Lead Instructor (part of the Oregon’s 4-H Tractor Safety, Education, Training, and Certification Program).
