4-H Youth Entrepreneurs is an innovative and comprehensive year-round program for ages 13 to 19. The project empowers the lifelong financial health of underserved urban youth and families by delivering culturally and socially relevant financial education programming. Youth are supported in developing financial literacy and college/workforce readiness through real-world experiential learning. Local business owners, teachers, OSU faculty, and 4-H staff mentor youth as they develop a product, create a business plan, and pitch their idea to secure a 4-H microloan. With the help of the 4-H microloan, teams launch and manage their own business.
