The Veggie Rx program seeks to provide free fresh produce to people who are food insecure or face diet-related illnesses. Local farmers benefit too. In Oregon, 11 programs are participating statewide.
The authors have presented the curriculum to over 200 educators at several regional and national conferences, and it has been downloaded more than 200 times.
Q: We are moving to the alvord desert area and have kept bees in the past. I'm curious of your thoughts on how a honey bee hive would thrive in that high desert environment? Any thoughts or advice you have here would be great!
