Flavored oils and vinegars enhance the flavors of your own meals or can be special gifts from you kitchen. Oregon State University Extension Master Food Preservers will help you discover safe preparation, storage and uses for flavored oils and vinegars at a hands-on workshop on Thursday, July 18, 10:00 am to 11:30 am at the OSU Extension/Deschutes County office in Redmond, OR. The class fee is $15.00. The registration deadline is Tuesday, July 16 at 5:00 pm.
We'll be using directions from OSU Extension's Flavored Vinegar (SP50-736), Herbs and Vegetables in Oil (SP50-701) and Making Garlic and Herb-Infused Oils at Home (PNW 664) booklets.
Learn about equipment, supplies and tips for making best quality products. Class size is limited. We will be working in small groups. Minimal COVID safety protocols will be observed so masking is allowed (bring a mask if you want to use one) and we will be washing our hands upon entry. Cancellations (emailed) by July 15, 5:00 pm Pacific Time can get a refund. No refunds after 5:00 pm on July 15.
