The Oregon State University Extension Service in Deschutes County provides research-based, objective information to help people solve problems, develop leadership, and manage resources wisely.

Extension staff in Deschutes County offer programs and assistance in Horticulture, Forestry & Natural Resources, 4-H Youth Development, Family and Community Development, and Nutrition Education. In addition, regional Extension Staff offer programs in Pasture & Forage Management, Livestock & Range Management, and Specialty Crops.

Extension staff and over 500 volunteers personally assist Deschutes County and Central Oregon residents through meetings, workshops, short courses, tours, publications, and demonstrations.
