A statewide process has been established through both Samaritan Health Services Health Education and Oregon Wellness Network to conduct health care referrals to the Walk with Ease program.
An analysis of the trainings indicates that participants increased their confidence in assisting a person experiencing a mental health or a challenge related to a substance abuse disorder.
Because of this class, all virtual Walk With Ease classes are now more accessible, and the images represent a broader spectrum of physical abilities, as well as ages and race and ethnicities.
The project promotes 25 activities encouraging healthy eating, physical activity, and less screen time. The cards have both English and Spanish options.
