Biography

Berit holds a Ph.D. from Oregon State University in Applied Anthropology with a focus on ethnobiology and agricultural issues. Her area of expertise is conducting community-based needs assessments to help support the development of agricultural policies and educational programming that increase social, economic, and environmental sustainability within agricultural communities. Her current role is working directly with agricultural stakeholders to identify gaps in water-related research and education in Oregon agriculture and to support OSU Extension faculty in developing programming, research, and outreach to meet those needs.
