There is so much misinformation and fear concerning spiders. We’ll look at most of the common local spiders and learn some of the basics of spider physiology and ecology. Spiders are way down the list of things to worry about when working in the garden. They are essential as a food source for nesting birds, second only to caterpillars. They may look creepy, but they are a necessary component of ecosystems, and lead interesting lives.
