Forestry and Natural Resources

Out there for Oregon’s forests. Here for Oregonians.

From the shores of the Pacific Ocean east to the Coastal Range, Clatsop County is abundant in forests and natural resources that sustain and fortify local economies, landscapes, and communities. By the numbers, Clatsop County is 87% forestland, comprised of a mix of Federal, State and other public land, and large and small private ownerships.

As your local Forestry and Natural Resources Extension Agent, my goal is to be helpful with and conscientious of your needs, whether you are seeking assistance with managing your land, understanding forest and tree health, and/or exploring your inner naturalist. I welcome your questions, concerns, and conversations!

Forestry and Natural Resources Extension is a trusted partner for all Oregonians, providing knowledge, innovation, and expertise to help communities, economies, and forest ecosystems thrive— today and into the future. FNR helps people and communities help themselves by collaborating and partnering with producers, stewards, advocates, learners, and internally within OSU, to extend science-based education and information to a wide audience, including forest/woodland and land owners; Christmas tree growers; the forest products industry; environmental organizations; federal, state, and local agencies; legislators; local public officials; community leaders; K-12 teachers and students; and the general public.

Thank you!
