A 4-part workshop series for landowners new to managing small acreage farms and properties. Classes will be held Tuesday evenings, on April 16th, 23rd, 30th, and May 7th from 6pm - 8 pm at the Monroe Library.

Agenda:

  • April 16th - Pasture & Grazing Systems: Pasture/Grazing/Mud & Manure Management. Introducing planning.
  • April 23rd - Woodlands & Watersheds: Oak woodlands & riparian ecosystems, including addressing common weeds.
  • April 30th - Rural Water Management: Water/ Wells and Septic System/ Water Quality. Water rights.
  • May 7th - Plan for Your Land: Planning/Soil test results.
