Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) is a national multi-species quality assurance program for youths ages 8-18. YQCA is a curriculum developed by experts across the nation to help educate youth and their families about animal husbandry, quality assurance, and animal ethics.

Want to exhibit at the 4-H State Fair? You are required to take this class! The class can be taken through an online module for $12 or in-person for $3.

In order to get your certificate, you and/or your family must set up an account at YQCA.org. YQCA certification is required for all 4-H animal science exhibitors at Oregon State Fair in 2024.

Next year YQCA will be required for all 4-H animal science exhibitors at all county fairs in Oregon.

Curriculum changes annually, so members will be expected to re-certify annually.
