OSU Extension in Josephine County: 4-H Creates Connections (in English)

Transcript

I graduated from the 4-H program here, and it meant a lot to me while I was there. I got to do a lot of really cool stuff from it and I ended up changing my major because of all the experiences I had in the program. And so getting to now go back and give to the program that helped me so much is a lot. And I've got to learn a lot more about Extension itself and all of the crazy amazing programs that it provides, and I'm really excited to be working with that. My favorite part of my job is actually getting to work on things like the day camps that I'm running right now and stuff, and getting hands-on with the kids, and getting to teach them and watch them make friends. That's always really exciting to see. And being like, “Oh, these kids are making a connection!” and watching them learn, watching the pieces click together is really fun.

Ashley Armstrong, a proud graduate of the 4-H program in Josephine County, found inspiration and direction through her experiences. Now, she’s giving back, running day camps, and helping the next generation find their way. Discover Ashley’s journey and learn about the impactful programs offered by the Josephine County Extension Service.
