BEPA 2.0 Trainings

Training is encouraged for anyone who adopts the BEPA 2.0 program. Evaluation data have shown that training and follow-up support lead to increased frequency of implementation. Visit our Research and Publications page to learn more.

In-Person Trainings

In-person BEPA 2.0 trainings can be constructed to meet your organizational needs.

Cost

In-person training costs vary – please contact our team if interested in getting your school trained. Note that if you are an Oregon elementary school that is eligible for SNAP-Ed programming, you may have an Extension BEPA 2.0 Trainer in your county who can provide training for your school or district at low or no-cost.

Professional Development

Participants of in-person trainings can receive a certificate of completion documenting professional development hours equal to the length of the training. The training also meets the following standards for continuing education for early childhood educators:

  • Teacher Standards and Practices (TSPC Standard): Learning Designs
  • Oregon Registry Online (ORO): Set 2 | CKC: HSN
  • OPEC Parenting Educator Core Knowledge & Skills Category: HGD

Online Training

The BEPA 2.0 Online Training is open to all! The training consists of a self-paced, asynchronous course designed to introduce you to the BEPA 2.0 program and provide you with the knowledge and confidence needed to implement the program. If you already deliver BEPA 2.0, this training can serve as a refresher, introducing you to new resources and activities. Participants will have 30 days to complete the training from the day they register. The course will take approximately 3 hours to complete.

Cost

  • $35 per participant. Your school may be eligible for free or reduced cost training if eligible for SNAP-Ed programming in Oregon. Contact your local Extension office or send our team an email to learn more.

Professional Development
