Dalmatian Toadflax

Identification

Perennial, reaching 2-3 feet in height with a snapdragon type yellow flower. Flowering begins in June.

Economics

The deep rooted, perennial, found generally in rangelands, out-competes desirable forage plants for moisture and nutrients.

Chemical Control

Residual controls are preferred because of the ability to regenerate from the roots. Repeat applications on an annual or semi-annual basis for 3-5 years will be necessary.

Biological Control

A defoliating moth is currently being introduced into Eastern Oregon.
